'90s kids, rejoice! When Wonder Ball, the popular candy brand of the 1990s, relaunched in the spring of 2016, they sought support from Brownstein Group to reintroduced the product to parents, millennials, and younger generations. On social, this digital-first campaign focuses on reminding millennials of “that feeling when” they first opened the Wonder Ball box, unwrapped the foil, and cracked open the chocolate ball to reveal a tasty candy tucked inside.
In the fall of 2017, the brand launched a new variety, Wonder Ball Plus Prize, which includes delicious milk chocolate, candy, stickers, and a collectible prize in the package. To create buzz around the brand’s Super Mario™ Wonder Ball Plus Prize, we developed a special mini-campaign dedicated to raising awareness and connecting with millennial gamers during the launch of Nintendo’s Super Mario Odyssey™, a game that brings back vivid Super Mario 64™ memories to nostalgic millennial gamers. This short-run campaign sparked nostalgic Twitter conversations within the gamer community, boosting awareness and engagement. Now that’s worth a triple jump!
